DESCRIPTION

Carlisle Sure-Seal (black) and Brite-Ply (white-on-black) EPDM Elastoform Flashing is a self-curing EPDM based membrane used for flashing Carlisle Roofing Systems. The flashing membrane is easily malleable and highly adaptable to irregular shapes and surfaces.

The flashing membrane's resiliency enables it to expand and contract without weakening and it resists tearing, flex cracking and abrasion as well as other forms of deterioration caused by extremes of temperature, sunlight, precipitation and all forms of normal weathering.

CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS

1. Review the applicable Material Safety Data Sheet for complete safety information prior to use.
2. Job site storage temperatures in excess of 32 ºC may affect product shelf life.
3. If the flashing membrane has cured to the point it is no longer malleable, it may still be used to overlay splices but CANNOT be used to flash irregular shapes or surfaces.
4. Use only Brite-Ply Splicing Cement, Splice Cleaner and Lap Sealant with the Brite-Ply (white-on-black) Elastoform Flashing to avoid contaminating the white membrane surface during splicing, thus detracting from the aesthetic qualities of the Brite-Ply Roofing Systems.
5. For Brite-Ply Roofing Systems, sunglasses are strongly recommended since the white surface intensifies sunlight through reflection.
6. Do not allow waste products (petroleum, grease, oil, solvents, vegetable or mineral oil, animal fats, etc.) or direct steam venting to come in contact with the Sure-Seal/Brite-Ply EPDM Elastoform Flashings.

APPLICATION

1. Carlisle's EPDM Elastoform Flashing is used to flash many different roofing system structures and penetrations. The specific method of applying the flashing for each individual situation is different. The appropriate Carlisle Specification and/or Detail must be consulted prior to application.
2. Splices between Carlisle's EPDM Elastoform Flashings and between the flashing and the field membrane are to be made using Carlisle's Sure-Seal EP-95 Splicing Cement or Brite-Ply Splicing Cement.

** REVIEW CURRENT CARLISLE SPECIFICATIONS AND DETAILS FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATION
REQUIREMENTS.
